November Trip Photos

Finishing Up Project

After another successful visit to Lucas last weekend, I am full swing into editing and finishing up work on my senior project documentary and present it at the start of next month. Big thank you to all those who took the time to be interviewed, answer questions, show me around, and the entire town of Lucas for being so welcoming and helpful! Looking forward to seeing what the great things to come from Lucas in the future! Be sure to check out photos from my last visit!

Excited to see Eden!

Tomorrow I'm going to be in Lucas for one last time before I finish up my senior project video on Lucas. The main goal of this trip is to see and get footage of the finished restoration work on the Garden of Eden. Having seen the sculptures half-way through the restoration, I can't wait to see how great their final look is! Has anyone else seen the freshly restored Garden of Eden? What did you think?

Wonderful Lucas, Yet Again

Well no surprise, we had another wonderful stay in Lucas. I was able to get a couple hours worth of footage and get some great interviews. Thank you Rosslyn and Steve Schultz, Erika Nelson, Eric Abraham, and Doug Brant for giving me some of their time. We even got to enjoy a movie at the great (and cool) Lucas Community Theater. It was also fantastic to see so much excitement going on between the Bowl Plaza and Garden of Eden restoration. Lucas is looking great! Thanks to everyone!

Lucas Here We Come Again!

This upcoming weekend I will be making another visit to Lucas for some more Senior project work. Coming along with me are two close friends who are wonderful photographers, and I am excited to see what great images they will be able to capture.
I have been following the recent renovation of the Garden of Eden, and it looks fantastic! I can't wait to see all the progress in person.
Since my last visit, I have also been able to meet with John Hachmeister at Kansas University who was very insightful and helpful concerning the background of Lucas as well as a really nice guy.
Looking forward to enjoying the KS heat and sunny skies in Lucas!
If you have any suggestions of your favorite things in Lucas to check out, please let me know!
